Update as of 2014

This is what this system has evolved to as of today.

The only problem with it as of now is that the power steering pump in this video does not self prime :P

So I am going back to what I was using before this - Oberdorfer N991-32 with Viton lipseal.

material

The best material to make these 2 tanks out of is either 1/8" aluminum or 1/16" stainless steel because plain steel itself will react with the vegetable oil and create polymerization and plastics may crack over time due to not being strong enough to withstand the vibrations of a moving vehicle and the heavy thick veggie oil moving around in there. Also plastic may melt or become soft and the verious fitings may start to leak due to the tanks being heated by the engine coolant that is plumbed into both tanks in order to heat the vegitable oil up so as it can be used as a fuel souce.

ignore the yellow highlighter lines on this paper!

this is a a picture of the inside of someone else's tank that has done a similar thing

another pic of the same tank and the coiled heating element that coolant flows through so that the vegetable oil is heated to proper operating temperature

Below are pictures of my Front clean WVO tank when I was finishing it:

Pictures and specs of the 13 faced "dirty filtering tank" that sits behind the rear axle

Above is an inside picture of the tank while it was being built before the last side wall was welded on. This is a 100% aluminum tank.

Below are the blueprints I made of this tank with all my measurements:
